Current GT3 with PDK, 500HP and much less TQ at 3153 lbs does it in 3 flat..so believe it’s within the realm of possible.

Unless the price hits 6 figures, for a BASE car, that's setting the bar awefully high for the Z and ZR
DCT shifts soooo fast.... 0-60 is bang, bang.

The C7 Z06 took 2.9 seconds and has 650 HP. That means the C8 is likely a light car. Finally!
It will not be lighter. Not unless it's loaded with about $40k worth of CF.

Yep. A 991.2 C2S with 420 HP will hit 3.1. Highly unlikely the Corvette will have a launch control as good though.....and the PDK is amazing. Something about rear traction in a rear weight biased car. The Corvette has always been traction limited and it’s own worse enemy from a standing start. The C8 should benefit immensely.

I'd say GM went over the bar. $60k base gets you a sub 3 second ME car with a DCT. Bravo! Z and ZR models don't need to crush the 0-60 time from the base C8. It'll probably only beat it by a tenth or two, but significant performance handling, braking, and top end.

I agree. May also get some more aggressive styling features. Maybe a twin turbo V6?????
