I thought the release was done absolutely well. The car, for what it is; the first step into Mid-Engine, is very nice. I wish they could have managed more curves and less lines/cuts, but I thought it looked very nice, and pretty much as expected. I still think the cockpit is a bit busy, especially with the entire row of Environmental controls and whatever is in there a bit over the top and could have been done via a touch screen section on the head unit.
Overall, I thought they did an amazing job with the release. Getting Tom Kelly and the woman (sorry didn't remember her name) was a nice touch. I know many NASA astronauts are huge Vette fans as well so it was a cool connection with them as well as the Apollo mission.
I wish they showed the car more than the President and the other guys talking. But overall I think it was a top shelf job on basically the biggest release for the Corvette since it was released!
Amazing what new C8 owners can get for under 60k. That is an impressive milestone and should make those Italian makers a bit concerned.
It's beautiful, exotic looking but still a Corvette, 3 seconds 0-60 with a big N/A V8 that happens to be the base engine and starting at $60k. Unreal. Great job GM!
