Don't know what to tell you other than he's FOS. My numbers are from Lambo Orlando.

From the full under car view on the other thread it also looks like the black sheet is removable without too much trouble, so some other routine maintenance may not be bad.

Forgot where I just read it, but the belt and plugs can be changed in car

Great article... thanks for sharing.

Interesting that the oil fill tube has a "spill tray" with what appears to be an area for it to drain off on the outboard side. I.e. if you get sloppy filling oil maybe it will fall to the ground? Or, most likely get caught on the under-body panels. I'll keep using a funnel.

PS - No dipstick?

Take a look at the video in my post #12. At point 15:08 you can see the oil fill cap at the upper right hand corner. It appears that the dip stick is right in front of it.

I wonder if these will require an oil and filter change after the first 500 miles, like the C7 dry sump engines needed ???

Hahaha awesome answer!

If chevy was really smart, theyd have designed it to be able to drop the whole engine/drivetrain with just a few bolts. Since everything is electronic, there should not be things like shift linkages to worry about etc. I wonder how the axel half shafts connect?

That would make a lot of sense. Unfortunately, I suspect it is a very complex operation.

I do all my own maintenance on my R8 - it cost me $74.47 for my last oil change. Mobil 1 / OEM Filter / new washers
