Default C8 and racing

I use my C7 for track days and open road races. I drive the car to the track/course and pack my stuff in it. No trailer.

Two questions came up after watching the reveal.

One – How do you connect shoulder belts in this car? There doesn’t seem to be any place for a harness bar. Perhaps there is a place to bolt an attachment point to the bulkhead/firewall behind the seats. That seems to be the Ford GT40 approach. Two of the seat options seem to accommodate this attachment scheme.

Second – I am not a golfer so I’m not worried about golf bags. But I frequently carry two helmets and assorted track stuff. Two helmets put a quick dent in available trunk space. I wonder how well two helmets will fit.

hey pistolpete - in one of he videos they showed an entire luggage set that could be stored in the car. The volume of that luggage far exceeds the size of two helmets. You should have no problem with the helmets.

The seat belt question I do not know but I would like to think that GM has already thought about that. I am going to be very curious how many people remove these seats and put in an OMP Sparco Recardo etc.
