With the engine in the behind the driver and ahead of the rear axel and a new transmission, A8 / differential / torque tube issue from the C7 eliminated?
Will the A4 to A8 AFM no longer be a factor in causing a problem?
Will people still want a Range AFM disabler device? Will Range be able to make one given the encryption on the C8 ECU?
The switching from 8 to 4 cylinders and back again was pretty much seamless on the M7s. The DCT should be the same since there is no torque converter. With the engine sound management set in Track Only Mode the only way I can tell when my Z06 makes the switch to V4 was when the exhaust gets quiet or the switch to V8 when the exhaust gets louder. No need for a Range. The only time it was necessary was when the C7 slush box was operating in automatic mode.
