This has been bothering me but why didn't they make the frunk open in reverse? Its always been a staple to have the hood of the car open in reverse and would have been a simple thing to do. I know it wouldn't be as easy to drop a bag into it but come on its a Vette!
The hood on the new car, despite being behind the driver, STILL opens the same way it always did - hinged towards the front. The vette's never had a frunk, so there was no "tradition" for it to follow.

Hmm, so youd rather have a harder time gaining access to the frunk because thats more of a 'Vette thing'? Really? No wonder improvements are hard to come by.
You don’t want that-why? The battery is up front and like 911’s, Cayman’s etc you’ll be standing in the frunk when installing a new battery. I wouldn’t enjoy climbing over the fender, as opposed to being able to step in over the front. Also have fun lifting a suitcase from the side. Very impractical to have the frunk open like the FE Corvette hoods-just saying
Im not complaining just saying it doesn't look like a Vette the way it is. I cannot find a single picture online with the frunk open that shows the whole car.
