Default Front plate

So I was wondering how the front license plate was going to be mounted but now I can see from this picture the panel you have to remove to mount the plate.

Agreed. Didnt the C5 have a panel that could be removed for a plate similar to this?

The C6 never had a good factory solution for a front plate.

C7 had a contoured add on that went on the center of the grill. Not like this pop out cover.

Any chance we could mount a plate behind that panel, then keep it covered. If the cops give us any trouble we could have "forgotten to remove it after a car show! Give me 1 second officer, I'm so sorry!"

I know of several locals who do exactly that with their C5s

Yes, and you could put the cover back on at any time to cover any license plate holes.

While I agree, and it’s the right thing to do if you live in a state that requires a front plate, this thread was created back in 2019.
