Default What is the difference between ....?

I am looking at ordering a C8 but I could not get an answer about what is the difference between the 3LT "Natural color leather" and the "Natural Dipped leather color"? I may be ordering the Zeus Bronze with the two-tone leather but the order guide lists two types of natural color leather. I'm confused! I assume that the Zeus Bronze will look the best with the black and natural interior like I have seen in the photos.

The "dipped" colors everything you can possible see with the "natural" color, including carpeting: EVERYTHING!!!! Just imagine dipping the interior in a can of "natural" and pulling it out. The plain old natural is more subdued. To me the dipped is complete overkill, but to each his own.

The online configuration tool illustrates the difference nicely. Natural applies to seats, console, and some trim on dash and doors. Natural dipped is the same color but on practically everything, including pillars, carpets, headliner, etc.

ZB with a natural dipped interior and the pewter rims is my favorite non-Z51 configuration so far.

So is the photo a black interior with natural two-tone or is it natural dipped/

I like this interior and may choose it with the Zeus Bronze. The ZB at the reveal had a totally natural interior which was too much tan for my tastes.

I went to my dealer who has quite few allocations and put in an "order" (actually I reserved the right to order) on a Zeus Bronze Metallic Z51 3LT with the black and natural two-tone interior. However I also liked the look of the Pewter wheels shown on the ZBM at the reveal but learned that like the black Trident wheels they are ONLY an accessory so they would have to be ordered as a second set of wheels not just an upgrade. My guess is that 4 new Pewter wheels would cost $800-$1,500 EACH. I like the pewter but no way I would spend nearly $4K more for accessory wheels. I ended up ordering the Spectra Gray machine-face wheels. The black machine face wheels on my C7 were a $1,495 option so that is probably what the C8 optional wheels will cost.

You've got to be kidding! So you can't order with the Pewter wheels on the car as-delivered??? Hmmm, well I guess that's one way to ditch the all-season tires...just sell the factory wheels and tires off the car the second you get home. But then you end up buying new wheels, new tires, and I'm guessing new TPMS just to get the Pewter wheels. That's a little ridiculous. At that point you might as well just start looking at a set of HREs or other aftermarket wheels that compliment the car even better than the factory offerings. Anyway, thanks for that info, very interesting.

Pewter wheels are $2,350.00 for the set of 4 from Wildhammer Motorsports.

Nice choice. I had a blue Bonneville SSE back in 1990 with a beautiful tan interior that I would call dipped as everything was tan. It will look sharp on the rapid blue.
