Default C8 has changed my mind

Hi all, new to forum and excited.

I have always been a fan of vette, specifically the c7 and C2 (1963 split ). I never though I would buy one until lasst Friday 7-19-2019. Was looking at used NSX.

Now, after a week after the reveal, all I can do is read and watch vids on the C8.

It worked GM, you have a convert from the Euro cars and japanese cars. I joined the forums because I plan to buy a C8 in 2-3 years, my goal is to save up about 40-50k of the price of the car and hope to get a ZR1 version.

Beyond excited to be here and be part of the journey. This is the biggest car reveal of my life (Born in the late 80s).

So amped.

ZR1 won't be available in 2 to 3 years.

I really love the new mid engine C8 There is only 1 Corvette i like better and that is the 1963-67 C2

But really this is 2 different cars so really you can not compare this 2 Corvettes

Welcome!

I never thought about buying a GM product until the ZL1 came out either. I'm more into German cars. However, when GM puts their minds to it, they can do great things if you're able to overlook the little details and focus on the bigger picture.

Best of luck in your C8 journey!

Was at a dinner party yesterday with a C8 convert. He was a Porsche owner previously and owned several different models, 944, 911, etc.
He still has his 911, but he test drove a friends C8, got on a waiting list, and then finally got his MY23 C8 that now has around 2k on the ODO. I asked him, after 2K miles which car do you prefer???

His answer: he prefers the C8 by far. He hasn't been to Ron Fellows yet though. Wonder if he is on the forum here?

I am really surprised by that, why doesn’t like it so much more than the Porsche ? Awesome to hear though!

He didn't say, but he has Z51+MSRC. Said he can have the luxury ride of a cadillac or stiff as hell if he wants it.
