Pics C8 Concours d'Elegance
If we weren’t in Sydney this week, we would have gone to The Petersen VIP event on the 27th, but again in fairness, it was about $150 per person and seatings were limited. Also, these events have Corvette head engineers, the Bowling Green manager, and sometimes even Tadge in big sheltered Q&A sessions. The much less grandiose, but I’m sure still pretty nice opportunity to view is/was on the 28th and a more palatable $25 per person. But, no food, and no Tadge & Company etc.
But, again, how are they supposed to set up something like these Concours level events at Kerbeck and about 120 other dealers who are themselves laying out about $25,000 to maybe $30,000 just for these informal one or two day dog & pony shows?
We will be attending another dealers road show event after the 1st and we don’t anticipate anything more than a chance to walk around the car for awhile in the dealers parking lot. Why would we reasonably expect such a quick informal and free viewing to be anything more than that?

If the photos depict the two last styles to choose from before production, I honestly think the upper right side rear fascia view looked better. The design itself seemed to "tie in" with the rest of the car much better.
Oh well.
Oh well.
Car looks amazing and cant wait to have mine! While you guys are here, I wanted to share my story with you. My name is Michael and I am a 26 year old cancer survivor who has just reserved one of the first C8s in the Dayton area. I have been looking for various ways to pay it forward for all of the people who helped me during my struggles and am using the hype the C8 will bring to raise money and awareness for a number of amazing foundations. I have already partnered with JoyRide, a club at the local Cars and Coffee which partners exotic car owners with children with special needs. I also started a viral fundraising campaign for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society yesterday, and reached my 2 month goal of $1k raised for LLS in less than 24 hours. If you have a minute, please check out my story in the link below. The video description has a link to my fundraising page, and sharing my story with as many people as possible will help me reach a huge audience of potential donors. Thank you so much for your time! - Mike D
I agree. Both of those look significantly better than real thing.
I agree. The one on the left looks amazing. I wonder if the lights are too small for regulations?
Great post... cool to see the design studies. End of the day they have to be able to produce and assemble the car and the realities of that can water down some more aggressive designs.
