In discussing the new 2020 Corvette, both Car & Driver and Road & Track cite this dimension - “Overall Width (in. /mm):76.1 / 1934.” I need to figure out the definition of this term to be sure it will fit in my garage. I recently talked to a GM Engineer at the Kerbek Reveal in Atlantic City, NJ yesterday (7/26) and even he didn't know. Help!
Specifically I need to know:
1. What are the beginning and ending points for this dimension?
2. Does in include the outside mirrors?
a. If so, are they fully opened or completely retracted?
3. If this dimension does not include any portion of the outside mirrors, where is it measured from and to.
I was curious about the height of the rear end with both spoilers and without. I have a vaulted ceiling in the garage and I want to see how it fits on my 4 post lift.
I found the answer in the 2020 Ordering Guide. As I suspected, the Overall Width measurement does not include the mirrors, as seen below.
