So, the usual "under X thousands for starting price, not including all the OTHER STUFFF!"
Edit: On reconsideration per the post by I'm stupid below, I'd say, the fact that it's as little above the base 2019 C7 is a pretty good job. I recall very, very few on this forum who predicted the car price way back almost a year ago. But I believe one of them was JSchindler who said building a mid-engine is not necessarily a significantly more expensive car, i.e., it doesn't have to be. I'd say the proof is right here!

If you want the car to be well-built and reliable, and to perform like a monster, you have to pay for it. There is no free lunch. Frankly, the low price with the new mid engine location and the new DCT transmission makes me nervous. It’s much easier to engineer quality products when you don’t have to cut the price line so fine.

Yeah... that "other stuff"... the destination fees (charged to the dealer by the Mfgr, and then passed on to the customer) and the advertising fees (which are costs associated with an association which buys advertising to promote all dealers within a region) are standard, not included in the MSRP, and typically non-negotiable.
Just gotta keep an eye out for those other "fees" that some dealers try to sneak in.

Many said that, and I posted that my source, who I promised I would not name, said within 10% of the C7 MSRP was the goal. That was last fall (10 months ago to be precise), and pricing decisions had not been finalized yet. I'm not taking credit for it, was just passing along what I knew to be info from a reliable source.
I was also painted as "delusional" by some of rather notorious forum denizens of that time. We don't hear from them anymore.
