While searching for c8 videos i noticed the wheels on this clay model. Hopefully aftermarket will offer a similar option. really digging the style what do you guys think ?
Yep, why Chevy didn't choose that model I don't know. While it may not look that much like a Corvette, that beauty could stand toe to toe against any car ever made, style wise. It would've had a real universal appeal IMO. Instead they chose that ~!@#.
"You should also know that designers don't start off slapping together enough lumps of clay to make a mass larger than the vehicle, then remove layers to create whatever they're looking to achieve. Engineers provide plans for the vehicle structure, and a scale model is constructed out of aluminum framework. It even has wheels and tires, so they can see how everything fits. Over that framework, designers place cut sections of foam, forming the rough outline of the car. They then apply the clay over the top, allowing them to hone the finer details."

1. It's sitting on metal pegs. The wheels aren't even on the ground.
2. The cardboard cutout of the McLaren wheel is glued over a generic steel wheel.
3. The rear "brake calipers" are at the 7:00 position

that looks like they just took a 458/488 and wrapped it in clay.....although I love both of those cars, I like the the C8 didn't end up like a copy of the 458/488..... I think they nailed it with what they ended up with!!!
Although I agree with the OP about wishing they had better looking wheel options, but then again I'd probably want to go aftermarket wheels asap regardless just to customize it a bit ....
