458 if I want it to sit in the garage and look pretty.

Huracán if have money to burn.

C8 and M5 Competition if I'm sensible with money and want to ruin Ferrari/Lambo owners' day.

The Lambo for sure. The Ferrari front end looks like it's smiling...

Gotta go with the V10 NA Huracan. Obviously there aren't going to be V10 NA cars around much longer and if this is the LP610-4, I've seen reviews where it ran 2.5 sec 0-60. The 458 is the last of the V8 NA ME cars Ferrari so that's special too. Corvettes are great but if money is no object, I would pick either of those 2 first, just keeping it real.

This honestly has to be a troll post. No base corvette, ME or not, is comparable to either of these other cars. It's honestly a joke and only being defended cause its on a corvette forum.

and some of your arguments are terrible. "have to worry about where you park the Lambo/Ferrari"... so you're not worried about the vette getting door dings? got it.. you yourself just admitted the vette is inferior by a long margin. Sure if daily driving is your main goal, owning the vette will be cheaper, but owning a civic will be even cheaper. Another terrible argument.

I've already made the choice. Not that I had much of a choice. I considered the Lambo, then I considered the Ferrari. Then my wallet slapped me on the back of my head and told me..."Hey *******...I ain't shelling out the bank for either of those, buy the 'Vette." So I guess I will "settle" for the C8.

If I had to spend $180,000 on toys ???

Well , I would get two C8's instead of one of those cars..one for track and one for a DD

or maybe get the C8, a new truck and a ski boat....

not really a fair fight for a $60k car vs $200k although the C8 does hold up well in many ways.

other wise the 458 has always been one of my favorite cars and the huracan is right behind it

Get the one you can drive anywhere (almost) daily. The Corvette. You will get a lot more fun out of it if you drive it.

Does how many golf bags it can fit matter? Or is it about looks and performance?

Initial price not the issue and SC Sales Tax for any car is Max $500. Just went up 67% since I bought my 2017 Grand Sport! Before you get excited, we have a high annual personal Property Tax on cars and the 2 year old Vette cost >$1000 so the States get their money! Helps collect tax money from all those folks who buy new 4 door pick-ups. Bet half pay more for car taxes than property ta on their home!

But since the C8 I have "hold-a-spot" money down, like my prior 5 Vettes will be my DD the other considerations are even more important. Driving I the rain, getting dinged in parking lots (although I park the Vette far from other where I can) etc.

BUT my biggest reason is I have "moded" every DD I have owned since my 1st a '41 Ford coupe I stuffed an Olds engine into! Can't see me moding a Vette or a Lambo! Not even a lot of aftermarket "stuff" available. Here is my list of mods (most small) on my 2 1/2 year Grand Sport.

• OEM Brake Pad Replaced with Carbotech 1521 pads,
• CAGS Eliminator,
• ASC front; GM rear splash guards,
• GM Jake wheel center caps,
• Wheel Locks,
• OEM valve stem caps replaced with Jake caps,
• Black Jake emblems on rear body sides,
• Blendmount mirror wire for Passport Max, added tether,
• Mounted Garmin GPS in Cubby on fabricated bracket,
• Lloyds Stingray plush floor mats,
• Stingray sill plates replace OEM Corvette,
• Black plastic door panel guards,
• Rubber bib for gas filler,
• Scrivet plug in gas door lock prevents from sticking shut,
• Deer whistles,
• Blind spot mirror,
• Adrenaline red upper dash panel (makes 2.5 LT),
• Adrenaline red passenger grab handle (part of 2.5 LT)
• Red Plastic Trim oh Driver’s door matches dash & Passenger door
• Red passenger seat belt pad (stops buckle rattle on seat back),
• Red Jake vinyl decal for back of seats,
• Red Jake rear fascia/spoiler protector (i.e. fender pad),
• C7 water bottle/glued cup insert to make spill proof,
• Window Valet,
• 4 LED bulbs for license plate and rear hatch,
• Front ZL1 Tow hook
• Novastretch bra & snaps for Stage 3 winglet & mirror covers
• Magnetic oil drain plugs,
• FANGS for skid pads,
• Splitter protector by Scrape Armor
• Stage 3 winglets, (replaced Stage 2 winglets),
• Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser
• Stainless alternator cover,
• Stainless engine fuse box cover,
• Stainless brake fluid reservoir cover
- Rear Diffuser
- MGW Shifter
- Soler Modified Throttle Body

Know, what will be first on the C8?

LETS LOOK AT IT THIS WAY GUYS

Lets make some assumptions: (and lets not spend all day debating the nuances... you know they close to correct)

Ferrari, Lambo, Mclaren... all perform as the new C8 is said to ... NONE OF US are good enough to feel the difference... NONE OF US!!!!!

F, L, Mc all have what can be best described as "useless, meaningless maintenance requirements and cost"

Corvette will no doubt be.... and real expensive Chevy to Maintain at the worst

For all intents... the one and only difference is rarity and exclusivity

lets say a C8, 2LT, Z51 is 76,000.00 and they will build 36,000 a year
Ferrari, Lambo, Mclaren are 300,000.00 and they build 3600 a year

How much would you pay for a vette if they made 18,000 a year? would you pay 162,000?

these cars are all the same.... useless baubles and toys.... all this whining about top speed, 0-60, manual trans... is secondary.....

Is it worth THAT MUCH MONEY to be the only guy in the parking lot with one....

The question should be... what other cool *** toy can I buy with the money I saved not buying a ferrari? Nice boat? winter condo, summer cottage, kids college, and combination of dirt bikes/road bikes/snowmobiles....

Im exposed to a lot of exotics down in Florida... and a high percentage of them are not owned by some "obviously rich guy "living out a lifelong dream"... but rather some youngish douchbag who somehow flim-flammed into an exotic with a salvage title and a chrome wrap and loud stereo.... It's just something I would NOT spend my money on...

Id buy the vette and enjoy the extra money

I'd have a FLY Yellow 458 Sypder if I wasn't constrained by reality.

If you can afford the Ferrari or Lambo then I'd get either of those over the vette. The corvette is impressive because it punches above its weight to the Lambo and Ferrari for the cost, not because I'd actually take one over those two.
