Does this diffuser make my rear end look big? Honestly, form follows function here, and the stuff going on at the back has to work with the rest of the design. Air outlets, low center of gravity and wheels pushed out and back, diffusers, air flow/downforce all combine with some styling to create a nice looking back end.
That is a one off Special Project car called the p80/C. It is a track only car that was basically an extra LaFerrari test sled that was rebodied for a special customer.
I wholeheartedly agree that it is not pretty, but neither is the Senna. This car was built to be a track specialist...for some millionaire with an IG account. But to the guy who called the F8 rear ugly...
Hilarious post. SMH at the folks who are trying to argue with the OP, completely missing that he was kidding.
Im really hoping the new C8 brings more normal people to this forum lol.
The C8.R from a styling perspective gets me giddy when thinking about the wide body models. But what I’m most impressed with is how the wide body turns a decent looking rear end of the Stingray into a huge improvement IMO with the subtle changes. Stingray looks ok from this angle, but IMO it’s easily the least attractive part of the car. Now this... this looks fantastic.
The insightful rear end comments haven't been about it being too busy, but that it's too tall and out of proportion to the rest of the car. The C8R is much more attractive, with a more tapered rear end, since it doesn't have to accommodate a golf club/targa top storage compartment. That small change makes a huge difference in the aesthetics, and it's not because C8R is a "widebody."
Side-by-side views published here many times of the street car and C8R demonstrate that very clearly. OP totally missed the most pertinent design critique. "Too busy" is nonsense.

I don’t agree. I do agree with your proportions comment and that the StingRay rear appears taller. But the larger, flared rear fenders of the C8.R visually stretches out these proportions, making the rear end appear wider and lower... and more aesthetically pleasing. I believe the wide body models will provide a similar effect.
The trunk doesn’t have much bearing on the design of the car when viewing directly from the rear.
I’ve always liked the C8 rear end. The taillights have to be squared off to match the squared off angles of the body.
My beloved C5 I think had the worst rear end. Just a big slab of painted plastic with some bland oval taillights and 4 pipes sticking out the back with some boring molded “Corvette” lettering, The plastic nether bits of the trunk were even exposed between the exhaust pipes. A few less yawns than the C4 rear end but that’s not saying much.
People who don’t like the C8 rear end forgot where we’re coming from,
