Just imagine how well the upcoming Grand Sport, Z06 and ZR1 will be perceived if the 'base' C8 is getting this much attention....

Welcome to the Forum and please forgive some of the rather snarky responses.

Partly, it may be due to the fact that a great number of Vette owners either have never belonged to a Vette Club or have tried joining one or more clubs and decided it wasn’t for them.

Also, Vette clubs and their respective memberships are frequently quite different in demographics and level of interest in newer Vette generations and some clubs are saddled with internal politics and cliques that can actually detract from simply enjoying the cars and making friends.

So, simply asking what Vette clubs think of the new C8 is almost an unanswerable question, at least with any meaningful precision. Again, welcome...

Love it and i hate it.

Love - new tech.. will be better handling riding driving car. Faster than all other gen base car. Seats look insane. It's just something new to admire.

Hate (more like dislike hope it improves) - storage being separated. Exterior looks and wheels available this year. Unknown unproven DCT gm co developed with tremec (programming not hard parts i have faith in tremec). Pumping engine noise through speakers because of the exhuast so far back they say. It's almost 6" longer than the C7.. which i feel is already too long lol.

If i didn't have a vette I'd give it a try. If i had a base C7 or C6 I'd get one. If i had a GS or Z06 I'd wait to see what this version is about ao i didnt have ti do it twice within a couple years. Corvette is a life choice. Youre either a corvette person. Or youre not. I pretty much count down to Corvettes at Carlisle each year and have a reserved spot there... love Corvette.

Yeah, seems CF has become pretty toxic lately. You want some down right frickin' toxic, go hang out in the Politics forum for awhile.
