Going to be interesting to see what all you can do with the engine in the car. The dry sump oil fill tube is secured to the passenger side valve cover. If that tube comes off, then you'll be able to get at the valve covers in the car. If not, well then out comes the engine.
I'm going out on a limb and saying the GM engineers though of that and it's removable without removing the engine. My guess on the spark plugs is go in from the bottom, remove coil pack and the spark plugs are fairly easy to change. The easiest thing to change on the car will be the front O2 sensors

Agree... just wondering how that plastic tank arm would come off the main tank if it's not all one piece of plastic. Hard to tell.
Never thought I'd see the day when a 60k car came with manifolds like that.
Agree... and actual viewable valve covers that look pretty! the C7 covers were covered in humps for the PCV chambers and the C5/6/7 all had coil packs on them. C8 puts them down low and developed a nice smooth cover.
I doubt the oil filer tube is attached to the valve cover. It looks like there are a couple of mounting tabs along the run of the tube, so it probably attaches to something besides the valve cover.
I just hope the plastic oil tank can take the heat over time and not ever spring a leak.

Huh? You can clearly see the large red support pedestal that the filler tube attaches to. This is so you don't transmit leverage to the long tube while you're opening or closing the fill cap and break it over time.

Any chance it pivots at the point the arm goes into the tank? Disconnect it from the support bracket and pivot it out of the way of the valve cover? Some sort of sleeve. Hard to see that in the picture.

Where the red arrows are, it looks like it might come apart there. GM designers would have to be smoking lots of weed to design it so the engine would have to be removed to take a valve cover off.
Here's a top view. Does look like it bolts to the valve cover. Surely it can be removed to make room to get the valve cover off. I see the same line in the tube. Not hard to make it slide inside itself and use an o-ring to seal it.
