Will the after market tuners succeed? A device such as the Diablo to remove AFM, adjust throttle response, and increase torque would be nice.

Chevrolet could do an over the air update at any time and overwrite any custom tune. That's going to be difficult to overcome.

There is this thing called an antenna.
Pull it or break it, and you are safe from overwrites.

Or go MOTEC and GM has no more access.
