Go without the appearance package and have the parts, as well as the engine cover, "dipped" in carbon fiber. Nobody will be able to tell the difference. The lights are useless for me as I am going to add an aftermarket kit that turns engine lights on when I have the headlights on anyway like I had in my Lambo Gallardo. They look so cool driving down the road with them on! . Thoughts?

I believe that since it states "late availability", you'll see a price when it's available to order, just like the fitted luggage. I was actually interested in the price of the luggage, to bribe the wife into more road trips.

Can we expect that the "accessory engine cover" is just a snap-in part, similar to fuel rail covers on other, lesser Corvettes? 
If so, then it would be no big deal to upgrade later after delivery.

My concern with headlights there might be some rear view glare when driving. Especially if you are getting the 1LT car. The 2LT with camera mirror may not be an issue.
The Eng App package does appear to have a separate on/ off switch (panel forward of rotary dial).
The engine cover will be decided when they release availability and pricing.

I was also planning to add an aftermarket lighting kit for the engine bay, I can't imagine it will cost me $1000 to do so.
I also am getting Sebring Orange, so there's no engine cover that really fits the exterior other than black. I'm planning to have the stock cover painted to match.

I remember seeing the pricing on one of the order guides and the engine cover was a $495 accessory.
I just cant seem to find where I saw it but I wrote it down as something I would be upgrading.

Hopefully a wider cover or several parts to cover the engine red valve covers that clash with my LBR car!
