Default Sorry...

I keep associating the black carbon flash 5 spoke wheels with the Z51 because the Chevy product specialist at Kerbeck kept saying these wheels were stock on Z51 cars, as was on display on the Sebring orange car that day.

Surprise, they are not stock on Z51 and cost extra $995! Anyway the question is what center cap comes on them ? Black center with C8 logo?

I do remember the specialist say the same thing in fact I asked him twice that day and he repeated his answer.

i totally get people makes mistakes so its no big deal but I told other people what he had said timus.

im not paying a grand for those wheels. Im getting the stock wheels that come with the car.

i was prepared to pay $500 but not a grand. When i buy a set of wheels for my snow tires Ill just have one set of my wheels painted all black.

Default Wheels

I agree w previous posts. Whoever was in charge of wheel selections for the C8 really missed the boat and opportunity for a wow moment, given this super car!

Chevy, pay attention!!!!

When did the Z51 option become a thing? So much that people consider it a car model in the same breath as Z06, Grand Sport, or ZR1?

Default Great point

Probably because on the C8 roadshow they position as base car or Z51 car...do not state it is a base car, that has a Z51 option package.

Btw does it matter?

But I believe a silver center cap is standard and this is the black center cap that I am paying extra for...

because when you look at most dealers sites like kerbeck it pops up Stingray, Z51, GS, or Z06, and when talking to fellow owners its easier to say Base (or stingray) Z51, GS, or z06. Who cares, and technically we could say the GS is a Stingray with a wide body kit and larger tires.

It has become pretty common since the c6.

Hi,

The $250 option black center cap is not the one in the picture above. The option center cap reads black with stingray in silver.

I would imagine the one in the pic above is the stock center cap for the wheels. I like it better with flags and $250 less is a bonus. Going to add MRC and use $250 for that...

Default Bingo!

Waste of $250 to get the word “stingray” on the centercap and give up C8 logo. IMO

I think my dealer gave me bad info saying silver center was stock.. I have to change it back. The flag emblem looks good.

2020! Because it’s the only C8 available right now. Maybe!

Thread titles on this forum are generally pretty thoughtless & ambiguous. I will never understand it.
