It seems like all I have seen is the engine appearance package for the C8 engine bay but I haven't seen a picture yet without the carbon fiber... Anyone have a pic?
I would like to see this also. Im gonna pass on the engine package. Theres gonna be plenty after market options . I have to save bucks for the things that cant be upgraded.

Agreed, not interested in the CF and the lights will be cheap to get aftermarket. I do want the red engine treatment. That'll look so sweet.
Here is a photo I snagged from a video of a non display car parked at Woodward Dream Cruise showing engine without the appearance package. I assume this is what it looks like without the appearance package and not just a car that had had things removed for some reason. Does look a little raw compared to the appearance package.
I highly doubt that GM's engine dress-up option REPLACES black metal beams/supports with carbon fiber ones which means that they just lay over the top of what you see in this photo. Because of that, I guarantee someone will make a much cheaper aftermarket version that does the same thing. Also, from what I can tell, all the engines have the red valve covers and you can pay to get a red version of the plastic cover that sits on top. I think this is like the plastic fuel rail cover on the C7 engines now which is easily removable. My plan is to order the car with no engine dress-up package, no red top cover and then buy aftermarket carbon fiber engine dress-up package and order the red plastic cover from GM later and install it myself along with a 3rd party LED lighting package. I'll have essentially the same thing that can be obtained from GM but without constraining my C8 order and for a whole lot less money.
