Default Can anyone answer this question ??

With the front lift ( I personally am getting NON z51 )

with th the NON Z51 is the car higher with more clearance hence not needing the front lift like the Z51 which does hang lower ???

is this statement true ?

i am putting in my final build this week and NON z51 and decining I’d really need front lift !!?

Thanks for anyone who can truly answer this !!

I think there’s no difference in car height being a Z51 or not good question though

One other consideration might be resell - I can see a big advantage of being able to list the front end lift as a selling point, so I would almost include it as default even if I never used it (unless of course that extra $$ simply puts you over the top).

Didn’t you ask this same question in one of the other multiple threads you started yesterday?

True about the overall car height or ground clearance, but the front end of a Z51 has that splitter that hangs down below the standard front end and may, for some, have them wanting the lift.

While very true.... with all of the new tech in the C8, I’m not sure the front end lift would be biggest of my concerns.

Good question by the OP. We have two houses that have steep entry points. We also have too many speed bumps is this area that are a hair too high. If you have no such issues in your world then maybe skip it. But, I agree that it might just enhance resale ability depending on the buyer.

Last month we visited friends in their new gated community. They had unknown to us just put in unreasonable speed bumps and one of us had to actually get out of the Vette to prevent scraping. There are lots of unknowns out there and we were still 3/4 mile from their residence in 110F heat. Wouldn’t have wanted to leave a C8 out there so unobserved. I tend to think of it as cheap insurance.

No real right or wrong answer to this one...

Reminds me of when I was 7 years old in 1949. A young couple(no kids) that lived 4-5 house down the street purchased a new bright red Oldsmobile convertible. It had power windows and I was fascinated with them.

One day I was sitting in his convertible(without asking him first) and was running his power windows up and down, up and down, up and down. He came out of his house and told me to stop as I was going to run down his battery. He wasn't mad at me(we were friends); he just didn't want a dead battery because I thought his power windows were neat.

Both my 56 and my 64 have factory installed power windows(and they still work) and I(at 77) still think they are neat.

BTW, I did have to fork out around $800 to get the passenger side window regulator replaced on my C5 when it was around 8 years old. Operated very few times in that 8 years, yet crapped out early in it's life.

My C6 Z06 has 4.5" clearance between the front splitter and the pavement. I have replaced the front splitter several times and have a new one in the basement ready to be installed the next time I ruin the splitter. I wish my could have purchased a lift from GM when I bought my Z06. My driveway has a dip at the gutter, and I drag the splitter and the air dam(2.5" clearance) every time I leave my home.
