Default C8 convertible ordering

I need to order a Vert because of difficulty getting in and out of low sports cars. I have owned 4 Vettes over the past 18 years but had to pass on the C7 because of it's small interior. I need a convertible so I can drop the top for easy ingress/egress. I have heard nothing concerning ordering a C8 vert.

I need to lower the top to get out and then raise the top when leaving the car. When I return I will lower the top, get in, then raise the top. Removable roof panel is a pain to do at every stop.

I have put a deposit down on a Convertible. Just contact the dealer and tell them you want one and you can get on the list.

Sometime in Oct Chevy will show it. My guess is orders will take place the first of the year and first deliveries summer next year.

Default C8 vert deposit

What dealer took your deposit? Is there a markup?

Do you expect to do that via the key fob (ie. is that an known/available feature?)... or will you get out, press the button on the door panel, & then reach in to turn the car off? And then do those things in the opposite order when getting back in the car?

We know there is a top button on the fob. In the C7, you could lower the top with the fob (so you can lower it before you get in) but could not raise it back up with the fob. My total guess is it will be the same for the C8. I imagine the lawyers don't like closing mechanisms from afar.

Thanks for that. I didn't know how it worked on a C7, but makes sense they would keep it consistent with the C8.

With that functionality though, doesn't sound like it will solve OP's issue of getting out of the car and then closing the top... without having to reach back into the car. I guess we'll see as more info becomes available on the convertible.

Default trade in

I Hope to trade in my wife of 20 years for one of these!

Never owned a Vette but have a 370Z roadster and am very excited after seeing one (coupe) on display at the local Chevy dealer!
