Default Trident wheels

What’s your thoughts on the gray trident spoke wheels versus the bright trident spoke wheels words arctic white. I will get to see them on the 18th of September. Thankyou I know I’m old-school but I’m coming out of chrome rims on a 2018 Z06.

With white I would go with the bright trident.

I agree. They're brighter in person and the machined face on the five spokes looks good while the spectra gray adds depth to their appearance. That's what I'd order.

To me I think the choice would be to get the best looking cheapest ones and then go aftermarket forged.

Next one, i do agree with you on the depth. I like the brightness of the others but they do look kind of one dimensional in the pictures, the gray kinda accentuates the star of the trident. Thanks to all, such a great forum!

. Guys, watch this video. Rick Conti has been selling Corvette for nearly 30 years and this is a great video explaining delivery times and constraints and everything that you don’t want to have on your car if you want to get it very soon thanks

I like the spectra gray but plan to paint them black. Too bad the black spectras only come as aftermarket and in a narrower size.

The Bright Trident are on the C8 #1 going into the GM Museum. That is a Ceramic Matrix Car and there are many many pix of it up in the Sticky.

Take a look, they look super elegant and exotic -- kinda ol' skool Lambo. Way more "radical" looking than the gray tridents which are more drab looking overall.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...Ew34saTHkYOvVt. I think this one is better for information, he talks about the constraints and about when you can expect delivery really good video

The black trident wheels are NOT narrower. The mistake was corrected on August 12:
  • Exterior section-(5DF) LPO, 19" x 8.5" (48.3 cm x 21.6 cm) front and 20" x 10" (50.8 cm x 25.4 cm) rear 5-trident-spoke Black-painted aluminum wheels, updated bold description to now read "LPO, 19" x 8.5" (48.3 cm x 21.6 cm) front and 20" x 11" (50.8 cm x 27.9 cm) rear 5-trident-spoke Black-painted aluminum wheels".

Is there any downside to powder coating the OEM wheels, instead of buying a whole new set? seems like it would be a lot cheaper

OK, but they're $2695. I'm experienced at painting motorcycles and can paint the wheels black for a couple hundred bucks (plus my own labor).
