Corvette Concierge Backlog
So I compiled a short list of questions that the dealership Sales Mgr couldn't answer. He mentioned the Corvette Concierge, as did someone here in the forum. Yeah, so I called today and they were booked out to Sep 16th. Some of you probably have the answers to these so I'll float them here. Trim is 3LT with Z51. Thanks in advance for the assist!
1. For the Sky Cool Gray interior (code HU1), the configurator did not display a matching steering wheel center stripe (unlike some of the other interior colors). Omission or is that a special order item?
2. Unpainted black composite side rocker: Has anyone broke the code on how to get that painted in carbon ceramic? Code ZYC paints the mirror and spoiler. Be nice to include the side rocker. Wanted visible carbon but that's a "late availability" item. (Will go aftermarket on the CF ground effects kit)
3. Can the script on the plaque be customized? The dealer's Order Workbench had no fields to input anything. Want something other than my name on it.
4. Will the C7 Z51 slotted rotors be compatible with the C8 Z51?

With respect to #3, yes. See option BV4. I'm sure there is a character limit. (Like you, my Concierge call had to be two weeks out -- now scheduled for this Friday at 5pm EST. That's two days after I am supposed to place my order!)

Thx for the assist. Yeah, bit of a leap of faith given some of the disconnects between the configurator and the order form. I placed the initial order but will want to tweak it (based on the answers) before the orders go "live" on the 15th.

regarding your question #1..... every car I've seen with with Sky Gray did NOT have a Sky Gray stripe on the wheel. I asked about this to the GM Rep when we saw the orange tour car with sky gray interior late July. Rep did not know the answer, but every pic I've seen with Sky Gray did not have a centering stripe on the top of the wheel.

Regarding #2, the molded-in-black-plastic side rocker fits over the body-color rocker that is on the car from the factory, and is installed by the dealer. Since it is shipped directly to the dealer you could presumably arrange to have it painted in whatever color you want prior to installation. I assume by “carbon ceramic” you mean “Carbon Flash”.
