The only reason for tinting is to prohibit someone from looking inside-leaving you to assume whatever is going on inside is illegal. Many think tinting should be illegal everywhere.
So the C7 looks awesome with tinted windows. But any thoughts on tinting the C8? I mean if you tint the back window you limit visibility to the engine? Wondering if it would look cheesy just to tint the sides?
I'd never own a sports car that didn't have window tinting.
My new 2017 C7 convertible had 39% tinting done to it's side AND, rear window upon arrival at my Chev. dealer in Houston, Texas long before I arrived to buy it.

What illegal could be going on inside of a Corvette, to warrant getting the windows tinted? Cooking meth?
Tint all my windows on all my car, yes on the c8 if I was buying one. Challenger even has windshield tinted as dark as law allowed. Much cooler in Florida

HAve you ever been to Arizona with the temp at over 115 degrees? You need oven mits just to touch the steering wheel and shift ****. Tint is a MUST in some places.
The place to tint a mid engine is the inside of the acoustical window between the cabin and the engine. By tinting it in that location, one still sees a nice tint from far behind, yet still has full engine visibility when close up.
Also applying tint above a hot engine is not a good idea.
Full thanks to Fasttoys for his prior experience/knowledge with exotic ME’s, for his teaching us this.
Totally sounds reasonable... Just saw the car in person today. The back window is laid down so low that if you were in the car following you this concept would be spot on.
I will be doing the sides for sure...still up In the air about the back. But got plenty of time to figure that out. Will wait and see what you 1st quarter allocation guys come up with.

Huh ? Explain If you would, just how you're going to see the engine while driving ? Or are you on the outside clinging to the rear bonnet while someone else is driving ?
