I know everyone is tired of looking at this blue car but this is what they were showing at Bozarth Chevrolet in Denver yesterday I don't know how they expect to sell this car because when you ask if they are selling at MSRP they say no they wont know what the price is until the car comes in but you can leave a $5000.00 refundable deposit. I waited until most people had left and sat in the driver's seat for at least five minutes checking out the interior and getting my picture taken. This is a nice car!!

If they wont commit to MSRP it is because they are not going to sell for MSRP and are playing games. They know once you put in the order and deposit they got you and expect a $5-10K+ dealer markup.
I hate these stupid games dealers play. If you are going to mark the car up, fine, go ahead and do it and tell people upfront. But don't take $5K and say "we don't know the price yet", of course you do. Your just being a slimy dealer. Everyone knows the price now.

I guess I didn't make myself clear. They don't know how much above MSRP they are going. I talked to three different salesmen and one said whatever the market would bear, whatever that means.
I'm about your height. I see a lot of talk about tall people, but does it fit you well? Did it feel like you were having to really reach for any of the controls?
Several dealers in WA were playing the same non-committal game. If you can't tell me exactly what you are going to change, my business goes elsewhere, period.

The drivers side seat was not adjustable. It was all the way back and lowered for tall people. No way I could reach the brake comfortably. The passengers side was adjustable and I put it forward. For small people like myself there will be storage behind the seat. The pictures do not do justice to this car.
Yeah, it’s a grand more than approved interior colors, but it’s my first (and probably last) sports car... Why this isn’t an approved color combo is perplexing. 2 tone to hide the dirt on the faces, and avoid ODing on red...

That means there is a dumb *** out there that will pay 20K over....

In Colorado, that means bend over.........
It is a fair statement that almost 100% of the Chevy dealers in this state are crappy when it comes to ADM.
I was there on Monday, and got the same spiel about market price; no idea if they are doing MSRP or not. Not sure how they expect people to commit, not to mention it could be a lot of time wasted if you put down a deposit and back out due to the price!
The car looks nice, much better, in my opinion, than the sebring orange did when i saw it at Kerbeck. I will say, the interior was really beat up, especially the driver seats. Still not sure how I feel about the dash setup...not crazy about having that angled screen. Would much prefer standard gauges and simplicity like BMW and Porsche offer, but I guess people like this. Refused to start it or show the lift option, because they would get fired...silly.

Same difference. They are playing games and wanting people to put deposits down (I am sure they will say non-refundable) and then will hold all the cards when your shiny new car shows up and they want $5-30K markup. Same thing happened with a Focus RS I ordered and even had it in writing it would be MSRP. Car showed up and I was so excited to get it until they said "my GM said we cannot sell it at MSRP and it has to be marked up $10K. But good news I talked him down to $5K markup only!". Luckily I got my deposit back after I threatened a lawyer get involved and 10 months later I found an RS for $7K off MSRP.
My advice is to either buy from an MSRP only dealer or wait a bit.

See this is unethical. Everything should be agreed to beforehand whether they decide to make a deposit refundable or not. Meaning when you make that deposit you should be able to know how much your going to pay not no well whatever the market will bear meaning that if someone is willing to pay 15k over then they will sap you with 15k over. Not knowing how much the final pricing is going to be is and shouldn't be tolerated.

I agree. I had it in writing it would be MSRP. My friend is a lawyer and assisted in helping me get my deposit back and I discussed forcing the dealer to sell at MSRP but in the end decided I just did not want to give the dealer any of my money.
My advice to people is stick to your guns and just don’t work with these dealers who play games. Give your money to a reputable MSRP dealer who doesn’t play games. Even if it means waiting a few more weeks or months. Never pay markup on a Chevy. In a year or so these will be selling for under MSRP.
