Just received an email from my dealer:
Johnie,
xxxx decided to wait for a Z06.You are now the first order.Because of the strike it's a wait and see.

So your number one at your dealer There are 5,000 Chevrolet dealers and I have no idea how many allotments each one has maybe 1 maybe 400. There could be a lot of people driving C8’s before you get yours.

Sounds like your dealer did not have any allocations in the September order cycle. If they did, your order would have to have been in the system and assigned to an allocation by Monday at the latest. If the dealer really had an allocation and assigned your order to it, your order would be at status 2000 or higher now. This is interesting to me. I am still at 1100. None of items on my order were on restriction and I am supposedly #2 on the dealer’s list. In general, I do not trust car dealers. I have a meeting set with them on Friday.

Agreed. I'm sure the staff in Bowling Green will be 'fired-up' to build a top-quality car so that Mary Barra can book another $12B in 'profits'. I think I'd wait a few years.
