My dealership , said they were getting 5 in their first wave - I am #2 on the list and still have heard nothing !! Possible they still haven’t gotten their allocations yet ? When would they get them. By ??
Marc, give us so more information about your build. If you have told them (assuming you have given them your initial build info) you want a car that has constraints, then they will not reach out to you until the constraints have been lifted and they can proceed with your order.
Also, do you have a deposit with them and a written or email receipt with your allocation information?

So much bad info here. Those first 5 allocations can come anytime in the first 3 months. They could be 5 in Sept, or 5 in Nov. They could be 2 in Sept, 1 in Oct, 2 in Nov. Nobody knows. Another reason to use a large dealer.
I guess the bigger question is why ask all of us and not call and ask the dealer. If I had a buildable car, I would be on the phone or at their door asking what's up. Not sure how many they are getting overall, but my dealer is getting 33 cars total (before strike) and his Sept. orders to place was 1 car. The initial slow build rate limited the Sept. orders I suspect.
………. Another reason to use a large dealer.[/QUOTE]
I understand that there are those who want to deal with the larger dealers and feel that there may be some advantage in the time line & order process by doing so.
But there are also those who have standing relationships with smaller dealerships, in my case a very small dealer...… I live in New Orleans but have bought my last few Corvettes from a tiny dealer in Utah. A relationship that got me their 1 and only 2019 ZR1, got me their 1st allocation for the C8, and their 1st allocation for the C8 Z06 and / or C8 ZR1 when the time comes, all without having to waste my time checking on my position or order, not having to put down deposits, and receiving discounts from MSRP when most are paying MSRP or in some cases over MSRP. Will my orders be first off the assembly line ?, probably not, but there are still many reasons to support these relationships and buy from smaller dealers.
Nothing against the Large Corvette dealers, JMHO on dealing with the small guys....it's been working for me.
My smaller dealer says that my order will not be placed until December, I guess that is the second allocation. If placed in December does anyone know when it might be built and then delivered?
OP you already had another thread on this topic. The answer is still the same. GO TALK TO YOUR DEALER. They know how many allocations they got in the Sept cycle (possibly none). Ask them how many they got. If it was less than two then just chill out until the October cycle. If they got 2 or more ask them why your order was not assigned to one of those allocations. If they won't answer those questions, they are playing you.
I can order right now with a big dealer. I’m on top of his list.
By my small dealer who will discount the car thinks the order will be placed in March based on his allocation. 1 in the first wave, 4 in the second. This will be the 3 rd car I got off him.
For a 2 or 3 k discount I think I am going to wait.

Sorry, no one here has a clue anyone who says otherwise is not telling the truth.
