Default C8 Corvette tour

Super excited for the Corvette open house at my home town dealership! Is your local dealership having an open house for the 2020 Corvette? If so will you be attending?

I called my dealer last week and was told the closest one was across the state...BUT, luckily the Vert public reveal is at Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex (in the Rocket Garden) next Thursday the 3rd and as I live just down A1A in Cocoa Beach I will definitely be there. I own a C7 Vert 3LZ Z06 and am waiting on the Z06 engine to see what I think before making a C8 decision but if I do buy one it will almost assuredly be the Spider Z06 so pretty excited to see the spider/vert up close and personal next week.

The closest tour stop location to me is ~300 miles away. And it's not until mid February. And it's on the other side of a huge mountain pass during an awful part of winter. Good chances I would have to fly over there if I wanted to see it then. Sadly, I'll probably just have to wait until they actually hit the lots.

FWIW on Saturday the 28th C8 will be on display at EVS in Saukville, WI.
Nice central WI will have a chance to view C8 up close & personal.
For all Badgers in east-central WI here's your chance.
Dealer opens at 9 AM..

So far My NEAREST show is in Pasco WA in February.

I am about 300+ miles from it. In WINTER over two bad passes.

You poor folks that have to go an hour or two...my heart goes out to You.

Attended yesterday, and kudos to Karl Chevrolet for doing it right. Customers with deposits were treated like VIPs and were invited to attend from 8-10 a.m. for a private Q&A session with the Chevy reps, viewing of the displays and the unveiling of the C8 - before the event was open to the public for the rest of the day.

Monday, September 30, 2019 at 11 AM – 7 PM CDT
Schedule
12:00 PM Opening Remarks and Reveal
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM Lunch

Just spoke with EVS and they do not know if the C8 will be open to sit in. Said that it is Chevrolet's call. They expect it to be the same display as was at Lambeau Field in Green Bay last Friday but are not positive. That car was not open to sit in. It was worth the 3 hour drive to see it in GB but I will not drive 4 hours to not sit in it at EVS. The person I talked to said he would look into it and update the Facebook page if it would be open. Anybody know if the same display that was in Ankeny, Iowa this week and if you could sit in it?

The C8 in Ankeny was an Elkhart Lake Blue/gray 3LT, and it’s at a different dealer in Iowa today.

Responded to your PM, Don.
Thanks a ton, saved me a 45 min drive for nothing.
My source was an EVS salesmen. 'Nuff said.

Upside's no chance of missing the Badger's kickoff, now.

Default C8 Tour

My selling dealer is in Estero,Fl., and the invitation I received said the car will be on display at a airport hangar in Ft.Myers on Oct.28th...The dealership is really crowded so close to I-75,so I guess they wanted a larger venue to display the car..I'm getting excited to finally see the car...My salesman said I will get 2 tickets to the event from GM..Playing hooky from work that day.....!!

Did you go see the car yesterday? It was not the car from Green Bay it was Elkart blue with white interior that was filthy from everyone sitting in it but I was able to get in several times as the crowd at 2pm was very small. They had a nice assortment of sandwiches and raps very nicely done and no salesmen hovering over the car trying to sell you. Worth the hour and a half ride.

I was going to go but they had a C8 at Road America so I that kind of took away my desire to go to this one. I only wish I had gone to sit in it with my tallish height.

Couldn't, componding my disappointment.

White interior for a tour/reveal car. Yea, it'd get dirty.
No surprise crowd was light, I mean on a Monday? Really?
A LOT of Corvette fans like myself simply could not do a Monday.

Glad you enjoyed it, Don.
Sounds like Eric put on a good show, too bad there wasn't a bigger turnout.
Since Ernie died noticed Eric's EVS doen't sponsor Ozaukee County Corvette Club's late Summer car show, anymore.
A real shame for the entire south-central WI Corvette community.

Lucky you , I can only make it to Connecticut for the 26 of Oct. ..Do you know if there will be a C8 in the neighborhood at that time? ...Since there are no showings in Canada I have to try and see one in the US. Thank-you
