Default Stripe question

Has anyone seen a full length stripe in person or a good photo of the stripes? I am curious that the Midnight stripe looks like a charcoal , not as dark as I would have guessed, and the Carbon Flash looks almost black, is it a carbon fiber like decal, or a metallic black? I was thinking of ordering it on a Shadow Grey car but needs to have some contrast, but not as much contrast as Sterling Silver.

Can't answer your question but here is what I did.
I went with the CF on my ordered Shadow Gray.
Also, CF mirrors and spoiler
never had stripes before.

If I don't like them after awhile I'll remove them.

Carbon FLASH, not carbon FIBER. Carbon Flash is Black Metallic identical to the other black items on the car.

I don’t think you can remove them. I heard that they are put on before the clear coat is.
So they will have clear coat on top of them.
I could be wrong. But check it out before ordering.

Wrong. Factory stripes are applied after the car is built. They are automotive paint/clear coat applied to a vinyl substrate which is then applied to the vehicle like any vinyl stripe would be.

That would actually be great if there's a way but I don't think I've ever heard of any company painting over a vinyl stripe...

Don't know about in person but I had originally not considered the stripes but after playing in the configurator I really do like them in some colors...the Midnight's are my fave.

Never had considered them before. But think they may look good on C8.
If not if I don't like them or get tired of them. I'll remove then.

I don't like how its in two halves. Messes with how the emblems look. Wish they were just one solid stripe and wish white was available.

Default heat gun

I removed the ones that were on my 2015 Z51. Just heat them up a little with a heat gun or high heat blow dryer & they peel right off...….

I love stripes but I agree that doing it 1996 GS style would be more fitting on this body style. I also think the car has enough going on that no stripes is the better option
