Default Does the C8 convertible lend itself....

This may be directed more to those who have seen the convertible in person. Do you think that the design of the convertible could lead to the possibility of if being offered with a transparent roof, much like Mercedes does with the SL?

Good question......I was wondering if it could be used as a parade car for homecoming queens.

I mean yeah... if you’re in to that sort of thing. Do guys like when beautiful women ride in their corvettes? Asking for a friend.

I think it is unlikely as a transparent roof would require a frame around each moving section. That would result in frame members in the center of the roof and obstruct the view. The view would not be as good as a one piece transparent top.

A central "sunroof" type of clear panel in the larger roof section is probably be the best you could do. That panel could cover most of the large panel. Wouldn't interest me, but it's doable. My thought, though, is "Why? It's a convertible."

Because when the top is up and you either don't want it down or can't put it down for whatever reason it lends to a much more open feeling in the cabin. I love the transparent roof on my C7 Z.

That would be a desirable option if offered imo.

Test drove a C8 with transparent roof on a hot sunny day. Hated the glare and the heat. To each his own.
