Your edit is honestly so amateurish it's hard to form an opinion, but I personally love the headlights. If there was something to change it would be the reflector on the side of it. Not the biggest fan of how the side profile has it "lifted".
Yes, horribly amateurish, but I was simply trying to illustrate a design feature I really don't like. The headlights are just way too large and too prominent for my tastes. I'm reminded of the eyes of a monster insect from a sci-fi horror movie. I drew a simple line, which reduced the surface area by about 1/3 and just filled it in.
The front of the C8 is cluttered with overly large air inlets and black trim. Certainly doesn’t appear aeronautically clean. The various air inlets are huge drag producing projections. People seem to like it?
Obviously the headlights should be body colored - orange in this instance - then they would appear smaller. Though i suspect it wouldn't work very well on colors like black, shadow gray, or zeus bronze

The huge air inlets are so the car can drive on the track at 100F, or sit in stop and go traffic at those temps, without overheating. And they're pushed to the side to allow a fairly large frunk. Real world engineering requires compromises. Styling isn't done in a vacuum, in spite of what "Photoshop engineers" on the internet believe.
As far as the headlights, I don't have a problem with the size. They fit the lines of the car. The only aspect of the headlights I don't much care for is the curved line of the DRLs. I think they'd look better if they were completely straight. But that's a real minor whine.
Looking at lights, I have added driving lights to a number of cars, including my 260Z and CJ5 Jeep when driving in rural NE Ohio on roads with no street lights. They were very useful in the hills and twisty roads in Western CT when we moved there. Have the same issue on some roads around where I live now.
Looked at what I could add to my C6 and 2 C7's but nothing that fit and looked good. Again "form follows function," so not saying driving lights are 'improving the look' but they will help night driving. Especially on the 2 mile long, twisty road from the highway to my home. Lots of deer and other critters!
Found these 4 inch X 4 inch LED lights (in pic below they are somewhat bigger than those dimensions.) Now have to figure now to integrate with the high beams using a relay and switch! Our BMW SUV has fog lights that light a large area on either side of the car on the road. They shut off when high beams are used.
