2020 Coupe 2LT $69,490.00 (MSRP optioned) -
2018 GS 2LT $55,000.00 = $14,490.00 plus tag & taxes.
Yes, I know I'm leaving $$ on the table trading in but it's not a mind boggling amount and I figure the more I wait & drive the C7 the more it'll depreciate.
thanks!

What do you really want? Do you like the C7 or the C8 better? If you really like the c8 more, does it really matter what we think, regardless of the cost. (assuming you don't have any financial issues)
No brainer to move from a A8 C7 GS to a C8. The DCT transmission experience alone will be worth the upgrade. If yours was a M7 car then it might be debatable, last of an era etc.
That's my train of thought, if I wait for the 2021 and there is a substantial price increase the gap will be larger. Also, the longer I keep the C7 the more miles it'll accrue.
One of the main things that attracts me to the C8 is the technology especially the DCT!
That being said the purpose of my thread is not to seek opinions on wants but to seek another business/deal/purchase point of view.
There's always one of you guys out there that'll bring up something that no matter how many times you analyze your deal, bam! "why didn't I think of that?"
Yes, my GS + $14,490.00 + tag & taxes
added pic of my GS to original post
Ok i see. Hard to beat a C8 for $14k. Your car is drop dead gorgeous btw. It would be very tempting to keep it (last of the FE cars) and then buy a C8 (first of the ME cars). That is sort of my plan to do in a couple years - i think anyway. Hope my better half isn't reading this of course
Personally if in your state you get a tax break on your new car purchase when trading in thats a smoking deal.
i d say go for it if you want a c8.
I wanted to trade my 2019 GS early and get the most for it now, but the tax advantage in NYS has to be done in the calender year. Being my ordered C8 won't be at till 2020 sometime I have to wait.
