Didn’t I just reply to a post yesterday that said all the dealers were “ slammed” with orders? Didn’t the poster say all you can get now is a 2121? he better not see the start of this thread he will be embarrassed. Where are you air86?

Will be.

I put down my deposit for a convertible last week and think I am 359 on the list. I guess I could also put a deposit down on the Z06 and trade when that one comes in. Yes, that is what I will do.

Not only cancellations, but a lot of people are switching to the convertible.

I do. I was in the 380s when I put it down in the beginning of Sept. No idea where I’m at now but not too worried.

After Classic took my deposit, they communicated with me exactly 0 times. Sure, I could call, beg and plead with them to see where I am, but I have an expectation of at least some customer service if spending this much money. Cost them this sale and a Tahoe. MacMaulkin was quick, responsive, and walked me through everything. Very happy I switched.

Sweet, just sent my build to MacMulkin and they said I am #357 on the list now. Guess I moved up 20 spots. I'll take it.
Glad I switched to MacMulkin as well!

I am sure there are others that know more than me, but I think they are right around the low 400's or so, having placed orders for around 70 previously. They have recently indicated, per others on this site, that deliveries for deposits now would be late spring/early summer. I am guessing that means May/June. I would love to see if others agree or have better information.

MacMulkin has slightly under 1200 total allocations for 2020 MY.

Wow, that is a huge number of allocations. These guys have a fantastic reputation, the most praised dealer of any make I've seen on any internet forum. I'll be contacting them first when the Z06s are in season.

that is one of the numbers I heard as well....they are the second largest Corvette dealer in the USA.
so if I am around 350-380 on the list when do you think I might be ordering and receiving a C8?
I also heard they are selling at msrp with no additional add on fees and that they can arrange for a courtesy delivery to another state, anybody confirm all
of this?

MacMulkin as 1172 C8's for allocation for the 12 month period. This was from Noah at MacMulkin as of Saturday (yesterday).

I got my deposit in on Friday and Vanessa told me I was #392 on the list so people earlier on this thread probably have moved up significantly. They were telling me last week that this is probably around late spring to summer for delivery on the list. So you can still get yours fairly early if you put a deposit in with MacMulkin. I'm actually hoping for mine to be around October as I'm exiting a lease around then.

Courtesy Delivery to Orange County CA was $800 + 85 doc fees, 30 filing fees, 9 tire fees + California sales tax. The fees are from the dealership that is doing the courtesy delivery but MacMulkin has worked with them a ton. It is Delilo Chevy in Huntington Beach. They will handle the dressing of the car and registration for me at Delilo. MacMulkin also offers another delivery service if you want the car to go to them first for them to do all the prep beforehand but it was $2300 for delivery that way.

I'll be leasing this C8 so I'm still waiting to hear from MacMulkin on if the sales tax, registration costs typically is bundled in the monthly lease payments. I'm assuming they will but want to be sure as I prefer it that way.

All TRUE.

Lots of variables. Some number of those in front of you will drop out. How many? Who knows. Once the line is running full speed, MacMulkin will be ordering about 100+ per month. Courtesy delivery to where? Anything over about 1000 miles from Bowling Green ships by a combination of truck and rail. The rail really adds to delivery time.

I am a couple of thousand miles from bowling Green....but still how much longer is it from Bowling Green to MacMulkin and then drive it home across the
USA?
From the factory to a California dealer is going to be the same as a courtesy delivery from MacMulkin, correct? The Vette still goes direct from factory to my
chosen dealer, right?

yes but they’ll help find a dealer for you that they work with a bunch. They know the best ones in the area with the better prices. They give them instructions on what to prep and do. For example, no dealer badges.

Once the car gets picked up by Cooper Transport at Bowling Green, delivery to MacMulkin is probably 2 days. Shipment to California via truck/rail combo will be weeks. Probably 4 - 6 weeks. They tend to sit in a variety of rail yards on their way. You can definitely drive it home faster, but then you'll have to navigate the California registration process. Another option is NCM Delivery. Cost more, but your closer to home and it is a great experience.

I guess the obvious question is: Will that "12 month period" really be 12 months. Assuming March 2020 begins deliveries, does anybody really think the 2020 model year will go anywhere close to March 2021?
