You are incorrect. The best we have so far is a custom sprayed panel by someone on this forum, he got the paint formula and sprayed it himself.

The Accelerate Yellow was used on the Camaro several years ago. I had pictures of it. Alas, when I had to do a hard re-install to my Pixel II the other day I lost them. So much for auto upload to Google drive.

I was told yesterday by a GM rep who seemed well informed that the reveal was being held up for a "special occasion" but he could not say what or when.

The yellow on the C8.R is the traditional corvette racing yellow, NOT the Accelerate Yellow. According to articles online, the other car will be entirely the traditional yellow color and the silver one will have the yellow as accents.

it doesnt make since to have the c8r mixed with one color yellow and mix the other with a different color yellow.. something else is going on. I'm at the point they are doing this as a personal attack on me. Everything in life F's with me for some reason.

Its pretty strange to have a color held out so long. Can anyone remember any other mfg doing something like this?

Hahaha I am right there with you, as someone who had an AY car on order I have now changed my mind to Sebring Orange. I was under the impression we would have seen AY on a real car by now, either on a convertible or on the C8.R but alas here we are. It especially doesn't make sense when it apparently, according to the nice gentlemen here who sprayed it for us, has been in the system for years now so they obviously know how to spray it and how to manufacture it...not sure why the long hold out. Then there is the video that was shown during the plant presentation of them spraying a C8 in AY, yet no photos anywhere to be seen. Very very strange indeed...

Yeah I'd have to agree with you that "something" is definitely going on with Accelerate Yellow. Maybe they decided to "tweak" the color a little bit before its actually released. Just seems strange that they wouldn't release it like any of the other colors. Can't figure out what makes it so different from new colors like Rapid Blue or Zeus Bronze. They showed it being sprayed on panels in the paint shop at NCM event per the BG plant manager but why no AY C8s in the wild?

FWIW, this is what I'm hoping to get ... hope AY looks just like this!

I’ve wanted AY since reveal day and I’m sticking with it...

The builders even display 2 different colors...

Color is all about lighting and contrast and will differ based on those variables...personally I like torch red but yellow is my 2nd fave and that is just based on the configurator, which I believe is probably the most "accurate: depiction of the color...my 2 cents anywho.
