I created a simulation to estimate the performance of the C8 base, Z51 and Z51 high wing as well as an estimated Z06 (lighter, more drag and 650 hp high RPM 5.5L).
You can see that the C8 variants (except the Z06) are only traction limited in 1st gear. Maybe this is part of why reviews have said the acceleration seems less quick than it is or less exciting?
The differences base vs. Z51 seems quite minor in terms of forward acceleration except at high speeds where the base is clearly superior. It is clear that any of the C8 variants is going to be a rocket on the street!
On the Z06, it looks like it could touch 200 mph with the right gearing.

The Z51 shifts right at 60 in the chart. The first gear has a flat top where it is traction limited, then the 1-2 shift happens at 37 mph on Z51 and the 2-3 at 60 mph.
I have the redline set at 6800, I have seen conflicting information if it is 6600 or 6800. I also modeled the DCT slipping between gears (the diagonal line connecting the individual gears). I also only modeled in 1 mph increments.
