I apologize if this has been talked about but I haven't seen it.
Any information on how GM plans to catch up C8 production after the strike? They have already given out allocations to dealers for 2020MY, so what seems more likely? OT/weekend work to catch up, reducing allocations to dealers, or shifting late 2020 builds into early 2021 builds?
I am #12 of 15 at my dealer, so pre strike I was guessing around early to mid summer. Now I'm not sure if I'll even have it by the end of summer.
You may get your car earlier than that. From what I've read on the forum regular production should start Feb.3rd. If you ordered a 2 or 3 LT car those cars will be built first..With 1LT cars coming later.Good Luck..I have a 1LT car,so I'm thinking April..I hope!
Doesn't GM say 8-12 weeks from order to delivery? Of course.. that was for say a 2016 corvette.... where there were not orders piled up, constraints, no processes, etc.
I think the earliest allocations of 2/3LT cars will maybe see April.
1LT... pending your dealership's spot in line... July/August? I'm HOPING for July on my 1lt... I think April is completely out of the question.... but someone that knows more about it than I will surely chime in here.
