With a complete redesign and re-engineering of upcoming corvette I imagine we will see the C8 stick around for several years, maybe 6-8, potentially even longer...any guesses on how many model years we have the c8 as the current body style?
By quick glance seems previous versions of corvette have lasted anywhere from 4-12 years. seems like a long lifecycle would certainly favor us early buyers. Much more bang for the buck if you plan on holding on to the car for awhile.
In 5 to 6 years almost every manufacturer will be pumping out electric cars. I could careless about any C9, this is the one to get unless you want a manual, then get a C7 while you can. World has changed and electric is were we are headed like it or not.

i am a firm believer we are going to find the bedford panels that are glued and bolted to the central backbone chassis will house battery packs in the future.
i dont know if it will be one, two or three bedford panels on each side yet I do believe this construction technique will proliferate throughout the c8 and beyond.
low center of gravity and ease of construction would make a lot of sense.
i even see it going beyond corvette and into other GM vehicle platforms supplanting GMs wide use of unit body construction in future cuvs.

For me the C5 was revolutionary and converted me to a Corvette buyer, but the C6 was the Gen that got everything right.
I have a funny feeling the C9 will be the car that perfects the mid engine design and engineering.
So, I hope the C9 is released ASAP.

the idea is there are a lot of people in the forum well researched on the corvette. So interesting to see people’s take on where Chevy goes next with the product.
besides if we only discussed factual news...Might as well retire the forum for a few months.
Not for nothing, but Fasttoys, how much less could you care about the C9? I mean you said you could care less...
Anyway, With the Z06- GS, Zora? LCU (Life cycle updates), it looks like about a 7 year turnaround. Gone are the days of the C3 for 13 years or more.. C7 was 2014 to 1019. In reality 6 years.
