Mine is bought...base.....$61,190.....I think it is a screaming bargain ….if you want a C7 get one….but the C8 is not a evolution ...it is a revolution......so it may have a greater effect on the value of the previous years....
Great Build. Mine will be around $83,000. Driving down the road 99% could not see the difference between you and me.
But I will be 78 when I get the car. Good Luck

I don't know....I will be 80 and going pretty slow !! There is no fool like a old fool...
I can't help but think it is sad that our society has become so cynical that a sizable number of people think everyone is a crook and a liar …. Yes the idea that a car like this can be bought for 60k is unbelievable....but the fact is..... that it can..... so get over it....
I would not be surprised that there is a increase in prices for options in 2020....but since GM has made the 59.9 the headline in their marketing...... they will stick with it come hell or high water..
Really??? I was/am referring to the Convertible model and that Sir cannot be bought for $59,999 or $60K as the base price is almost $10K more than the coupe. I was not being cynical or doubting of Chevy's intentions...again read the post correctly--CONVERTIBLE then you can compare apples to apples
OK getting WAY off the subject . I ask if the price as GM says $60,000 Base price, how will this effect the price of older Corvettes well C-6 C-7s . I see some going $60-$70- even $80,000 for a Hennessey 700 HP Corvette .. Can you buy one for the $60,000 probably not but still would a person buy a used Corvette for more that a new Mid Eng . Corvette ????? I am thinking about this deal myself looking to buy something a used Corvette for more that a new one ? , some of them are very nice and worth the money buy still used and in a year I think the price on these used Corvette will drop so bad investment I'm thinking ???
Yes it will affect the C7, question is, how many are left? Barring the big dealers, most Chevy stores don't have 20 units laying around and they have another 3-4 months to unload them before ANY C8's show up. Even when C8s do hit the streets, most are sold units and the ones that will be avail will be 2-3lts with hefty stickers and selling at MSRP and subject to ADM..... a C7 with a fat discount could be really appealing at that point. If you really want a C7, it would be a great time to buy one.

No worse an “investment” than a new C8 at list. Drive either off the dealer’s lot and kiss $$$ goodbye! So what? A $55K C7 is a great performance deal, as will be a similarly optioned $70K C8. You want an “investment?” Look elsewhere.
As to “impact” of C8 on used C7 prices? I’ve been following them for a year or so. Prices continue to depreciate, but surprisingly not a step-change vs. the pre-release curve. The car I paid $ 41K for a year ago probably would go for $36K today — but that’s with 9K add’l fun miles on it! Expect that to continue.

$7,500, not $10K. At least argue with facts, not make believe. And GM never claimed the 'vert would be under $60K, so I'm not sure what you're whining about.
and interesting I looked at about 20 Z51 cars within 250 miles of my location and all of them are automatics. Why get the track package and an auto? Doesn't make sense to me!!
Autos are faster on the street or the track, but regardless there is a bigger demand for auto's just because that is what the market is dictating.
