Here is an associated Autoweek article that does a good job of explaining how the chassis dynamics of the C8 and the driver experience will change (and likely improve). Note the importance of the driver's position relative to CG. https://autoweek.com/article/technol...t-about-engine
Pretty lame article..."the interior is surrounded by buttons, switches, cup holders"....nu duh!!! LOL. Seems like they are just using generic words just to fill in the article. But as always, for better or good, I take all these reviews with a grain of salt.
i hope they thrive as a web based auto enthusiast journal.
nice review too boot.
I've been reading since they were the Competition Press. Not sure what they are going to do with my 2 year paid up subscription tho.....
I thought their last print copy was very good.

Changing it to a Car and Driver sub, got my copy yesterday, optional R&T or a refund. Said one for one for each issue, but for me it did not calculate right. Had 10 months left on Autoweek , so should have been 20 months of C&D, but only credited 15. Maybe charged me extra for the C8 issue I got yesterday.

Liked: The biggest difference compared to the outgoing Corvette is steering feel, as it is much sharper than before. (Steering is literally faster too, now with a 15.7:1 ratio instead of 16.3:1.) The very first time I turned in with some spirit, I was pointed to the apex about 100 feet too early. Oops. Steering is fast and light. In fact, too light for my tastes, if in the touring drive mode. Switch to sport or, even better, track, and it feels perfect.

I thought both the C7 and C8 have variable rate steering ratio.

How did Autoweek contact you? I have a year left on my subscription and have heard nothing from them.

Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
