Go for a really basic generic spec that isn't crazy or out of the ordinary. Not sure why you would want to do that and ruin your C8 experience just to make an extra few grand in the future compared to buying what you actually like...
You're going to lose money either way.

Why do you bother posting? What do you actually know? It seems you are pretty new to cars, 99% of what you post is cut and paste BS that you still can't manage to comprehend or you're calling someone out for posting BS as stupid as your own and now you're offering advice on how to option a car for long term value?
Keeping it in a museum or driving it? If you drive it, it will just be an old worn car and wouldn't matter how it's configured. At least at that point you would have gotten your moneys worth instead of keeping it nice for someone else. These are standard issue cars, not investments, you'll do much better in the stock market.

You good bro? I think you got me confused with somebody

Are you going to drive it or let it sit in the garage? If driving, it literally does not matter how you option it. Look at C5s right now. High mileage ones are super cheap and depending on options a base model can be within a grand of one with a bit of options. If you're storing it and it will have low miles.... that's a little more difficult to figure out. You'd still probabaly best go with what I said in my first post, even though I assume you were keeping it a couple years.

I would like to see how an expert options a C8. Let us see your WorkBench Order Sheet.
Well, 1999 Vettes aren't worth more than they were 20 years ago new, so I think if you want to have lost the least amount of money possible on your 2020 C8 in 2040 you probably want to go with the cheapest C8 you can buy. Especially if you took the $ difference between a moderate to heavily optioned C8 and a base C8 and stuck it in an index mutual fund for 20 years.
Now what I really think is you should forget about the depreciating asset's future value and get the one you want.
I think he's implying that you don't have a real order without a Workbench build sheet.
Of course I don't, all I have right now is my deposit at the dealer for an allocation. They said the other day they should be calling me within the next few weeks to go over and spec the car.
From his/her other post I gather he or she is selling their Chevy Cruze to fund the C8......
Well you quite clearly didn't gather correctly. Maybe you should stalk me a little more so you can actually see what I meant. Or maybe you'll be smart and knock off the crap. Already speaking to a couple mods about your behavior and have screenshotted a bunch of your posts in response to me. There is no need for this. I don't recall ever being rude to you so I am clueless as to why you're following me around to different threads and different sections. One thing is for sure: I'm not going to take this from a member that joined less than two months ago.

I joined when I aquired my corvette, I've made purchases from supporting vendors and I stand by my statements that your posts are useless and misinformed.

I don't care what your opinion on my posts is. It does not give you the right to stalk and harass me, following me into different threads and even different sections like you have been doing, and trying to provoke me into an argument. I'm done speaking with you.

My advice would be to build it to appeal to the widest demographics, to wit, no unusual color combo’s and/or louder colors. High spoiler might limit a wider interest, yet can always be added. It’s not always about resale price, but moving it more quickly if you need to.

This is a open forum on the internet. If you do not want opinions on something or people to see what you posted then don't post it!
As for saying the OP should buy a basic car..... if you look into classics offered for sale that had the most modern and highest performance options at the time they tend to sell for more and faster. Hence classic car ads that state "factory AC" "factory heavy duty brakes and suspension" "factory POSI" "factory bucket seats". If the first year of the mid engined Corvette is ever going to be a sought after classic I would think options like Z51 and 3LT with all the bells and whistles would be more desirable.

Wait, you have only been here since January, bwahaha. This is too funny. Like time belonging to a forum somehow matters in relation to anything, lol. Kind of similar to how you think number of likes is important. Now you are crying to mods, lol? Did you put your big boy pants on today? God this is hilarious. Hope your butt-hurt feels better soon.
