OP, I agree with you that the car is ugly.. this thing could’ve been elite status had they designed the exterior correctly. It was their first attempt at a ME car and it shows.
And to all of you crying to drop it, if people didn’t keep crying for a ME then we wouldn’t be here at all. So stfu about this “don’t buy it” crap. Some of us big time Corvette fans wanted to buy it but the damn thing is ugly.
First off I am a long time Corvette owner (5 so far) and remember that Bill Mitchel advised his successors to "Don't screw up the Corvette." Although C8 mechanicals are impressive what they are wrapped in is not. Let the tweaking begin! First suggestion of others to follow is to put round taillights on that thing, it is not a Camaro. BTW, who was the main exterior stylist for this car?
Wow, you old guys are pretty rigid. You really have to learn to be flexible so you don't break in these times. I personally like the updated looks even with the non-round rear lights. Are you trolling us by chance? Ha ha. Not a very original post about the rectangular lights is this? Don't take this personally, but you should get over it. If not, at least don't keep posting what others have posted in the past. It becomes quite repetitive and tiresome to read. You should enjoy change instead of fight against it all the time. You will be a happier and a better person for it. Richard Branson, a billionaire, has been quoted many times when he says 'embrace change.' You should too.
Hope you think about what I wrote. I am serious.
Just saying.

Ok Boomer
No one cried for the ME. As repeatedly stated, the performance limit was reached for RWD in the Corvette c7. ME was the only way to move the performance needle, and they did just that

Guess what? If you don’t like the C8, there are other cars out there you can buy. Coming to the Forum and crying about it won’t change it, at least not until the C9 hits. You know very well all you’re doing is trying to rain on other’s parade, and for that you should be ashamed of yourself.
Not my fight. But no. There isn't. Not unless you want to go into the several hundred thousand dollar range of a superfast....
we'll see how "fantastic" the ME layout is when Chevy figures out how to skew the ring and VIR numbers to make it seem like it was the right move lol. Because as of now. Its barely... by .9 of a second, quicker than a friggin C7 Z51... wow. Thank god for the ME lmao
Not to mention 30hp more... a DCT... and gear to get to 60 in 3 seconds. Imagine if that were dropped into a freshened FE C8? Not to mention the tires.
No.. so far it hasn't shown us **** except to fulfill the staying relevant.
Thw C8 going ME is Corvette jumping the shark. Sucks for longtime fans. This, after the hoopla dies a bit may be its demise.
The first complaint was that it had no stick shift.......Now its about the tail lights??????... Whats next ?... As said above, if you dont like the car, then dont buy it.
I bought a 94 Z-28 back in 93.,, Never really liked the cars looks, but I thought that it would grow on me..Well, it never did, and I ended up living with it for a number of years before I sold it. Dont be dumb like I was. If you dont absolutly love this car, buy something else.

I'm going to laugh, so hard, right in your (virtual) face when you're proven wrong again, and again, and again. You've no idea just how wrong you are. Comically so, in fact. The teeny vocal minority of supposed "long time fans" that are against this car will buy one. Eventually. Just like they bought the C7. Eventually.
What the prep cook in the kitchen needs to know at this point: salt or no salt with your crow? Because it's coming.
Stick a fork in it. The styling is DONE. It is NOT going to change. Get over it. What do you hope to accomplish by bitching about it at this late stage? You like it? Great! You don't like it? Nobody but you cares.
Time to move on Grandpa. Your last two threads are complaining about the C8 from the view of an old man. Adapt or become extinct. Sounds like the latter would be best for you.
Dude, I don't agree with the OP either, but for crying out loud do you really need to post your ageist bullshit? As if older people are not allowed to have opinions? How about all the younger people running around posting opinions you don't agree with? Do you mock them for their age also? How about people your own age?
More ageist bullshit. And you're going to post the same already-stale "joke" twice in the same thread? Apparently ageism is the only thing you have going for you.

You seem hurt Gramps. Do you need your salt pills?

Wait....you want to "fix" a car that hasn't even come out yet? And your tail light suggestion....since that idea went over SO well for the C7 Generation, why not....let's do it for C8 too!!!!
