Haven't seen an answer to this yet. We're still in the dark regarding a lot of the smaller specifics such as stuff like this. Edit: The front lift system weighs around 22 lbs on a 458. So that should give a rough idea on the weight of the C8's FEL.

Recently I was talking with Brian Saylor, a Sr. Suspension Systems Engineer at GM, and I believe he said the system only added 13 pounds of weight to the C8.
"You and other new members..." implies that I'm a new member. I've literally been here for nearly an entire year. And despite that I have WAY more likes than you. And what question have I asked that you feel is "silly"?
Well, for the record I am a new member and new to Corvette’s. I was advised by several people to avoid this forum as it was a “negative environment” and that everybody craps on each other (or something to that effect). After a month or so, the jury is still out on that for me, but if nothing else, it is a good entertainment source. It is starting to look like a better place to lurk as opposed to participating in discussion though.
It's 13 pounds. And it won't make a difference to anybody but a track rat who isn't getting it anyway. If you are concerned about the weight, eat a few less double whoppers a week, or take off the gold chains..
If Chevy were concerned about weight at all, they'd make a car without a radio, AC, heated and cooled power seats, smaller wheels and tires. But they wouldn't sell very many of them...lol
And as to why there are so many douches here? I think it has to do with them all being 5 foot 9 and 260 lbs. They just aren't very happy people...lol.

I've closed this thread......the off topic pissing match is one of the WORST ones I've seen in a while.
I had to delete 21 posts in this thread.....21 POSTS. Everyone that had a post deleted deserves to be banned.
Everyone involved in this thread needs to read the quote above from Panfish....is that the reputation you guys want????? It's a crying shame that this is the reputation on the streets about this Forum.
