Does anyone know the production rate for the c8. I have heard 6.5 per hour.

When? At startup? At peak production? The NCM told me that 177 per day is the target at full production.

Optimum run rate is 11.6 per hour. With two 8 hour shifts per day, that is 185.6 per day. It will take them some time to get up to that rate.

C7 production ended shortly after the strike ended. They have been retooling the factory and training personnel in the meantime.

Allot depends on the venders. There’s been issues in the past, remember the constraints?

Historically, they don't work 6 days a week but have worked 10 hour shifts instead of 8 hour shifts. About the same output either way. When they will end 2020 MY production remains to be seen.

Just read that all 2020 Vets sold 40,000 they expect to make he said, President North America GM. If that"s the number looks like the production year will be extended for sure. Could go all the way till some time in Dec. would be my quess.

The 40,000 number was not attributed to the GM exec in that Motor Trend article.
