What do you mean by available now? At a dealership? For an order that just got accepted? Or are you just putting down a deposit for a dealer allocation at a later date?

My order is in at 1100 and my dealer has an allocation for next week. I would like to add the Sterling Silver engine cover to the order but don’t want to be kicked back by GM. The Sterling Silver engine cover was on constraint the last we heard. Otherwise everything in my order is good to go.

If it’s not available, order without it. Then purchase it at the parts counter of your dealership when it’s available (or online). It’s held on by six screws so it’s not difficult to swap it out.

I finalized my order yesterday ( for 12/19 input ) and I was told that they are available. RCC edge red is what I ordered.

Is there an additional cost for non-black engine covers?

But they do look great.

It might make more sense to some owners to purchase the C-8 with a stock cover and paint it themselves.

So it's a painted plastic cover? So if you used a $6 can of Krylon or Rustoleum, would that be about the same? I'd like to see a photo to know.

I’m gonna wait on the how to posts for painting the engine cover. It doesn’t make sense to pay $495 and end up with two covers
