Just wanted to first pay my many thanks to all of you. I've been creeping on this forum as a visitor for a while and have learned much from all of you.
I've always been a BMW guy but after seeing the new Corvette, I knew that my next car would not be a BMW.
After reading ... and reading... and reading some more... I ended up taking the advice of ordering from a large Corvette dealership and opting for courtesy delivery.
I got in touch with MacMulkin and corresponded with Mark and Christina (amazing people by the way) to get all my questions answered. After asking all my questions and getting all answers, I had no doubt that I would be choosing them for my purchase. I sent in my deposit and received confirmation that (as of 12/6/19) I was #440 on the list.
I ended up with this build order: Convertible 1LT
Exterior: Arctic White Interior: Jet Black
Carbon Flash-painted nacelles and roof
Bright Red-painted calipers
5-open-spoke Carbon Flash-painted aluminum wheels with machined edge
Rocker panel extensions in Black
Torch Red seat belt color
First question - on a 1LT Convertible, do you guys know if the rearview mirror comes with the camera option built in? or is that only for 2LT and 3LT?
Welcome and thank you for the details of your journey here. MacMulkin appears to be a top notch dealership. On the Convertible, the rear view mirror camera is on all....1LT, 2LT, and 3LT.
On the 1LT convertible the rear view camera mirror comes standard. There is no option you need to check. However its not free. There is an extra 500 to do the 1LT convertible as opposed to the 2LT/3LT. We are assuming that this is due the review camera being standard on the 1LT vert.
Example:
1LT vert option is $7500
2LT/3LT vert option is $7000

Looks like a nice build. Where are you located?
Orange County, CA - just a friendly 3K miles away from MacMulkin.

Welcome, Danny. I’m in Bakersfield and visits my mom in orange county every couple weeks. I’m also getting a convertible but in rapid blue. Maybe next year when we get our cars, we should meet up.

Hey Danny,
That's damn close to my build except I'm going with orange. One of the few options I really didn't want to give up was the rear view mirror camera. I was delighted to see it was standard on the vert even if it is costing us an extra $500. I too live in sunny ca up north but we also have a place in OC hopefully we'll meet up some day.

Congrats and welcome to the jungle. That is a gorgeous sounding build right there. 1LT comes with the "regular rearview parking camera"...the 2LT adds "GM's rear camera mirror". My sincere advice, is get the 2LT. There are many goodies in the 2LT that should be standard in the car and I think really enhance the ownership experience. Heated/cooled seats, heated steering wheel, memory seats, Heads Up Display. and 14 speaker Bose. I know its a chunk, but it'll cost you more in regret when you trade it in sooner for a 2LT down the road.6.5.0

Who is the Courtesy Delivery Chevrolet dealer in Orange County, and how much is the Courtesy Delivery costing you?

That's true on the coupe, but not on the convertible. Rear camera mirror is standard on ALL convertible trim levels.
Why do you think they added the camera mirror to all convertibles? Less rear visibility than the coupe?
Can use the same folding top (and wiring harness) on all trim levels. I would not be surprised to see it be standard on the 1LT coupe in 2021 for the same reason along with the inevitable price increase.
The option/RPO code UVB which is a HD rear vision camera is standard on a 1LT whereas on a 2 or 3LT the option/RPO code UVA HD Front and Rear Vision Cameras, front camera is curb view, is standard. The option/RPO code DRZ Rear Camera Mirror, inside rearview auto-dimming with full camera display is not available on the 1LT and standard on the 2 and 3 LT.
