Well you know it wouldn't be the 1st time a dealer has told an untruth about the order process, guess I'll hurry up & wait...

It's also possible that even though you are #1 at your small dealer that they weren't offered ANY allocations yet. Yes they said they should get a small number in the" first build cycle" or first round, but they may not be offered those until January. Still in the first round.
My dealership who is also a smaller dealership has 7 "first round" allocations. Thus far, they had 1 picked up in Sept, and 2 today. Too bad for me, as I'm #4........ so I'll be first up next Consensus ( January).

My order was picked up Thursday. It went to 2000 status Friday. Should have a TPW soon. I will be in Bowling Green to drive a C8 on the Motorsports Track March 13th. Wouldn't surprise me if my car is being built at that time.
I can't explain the difference, but GM Canada works differently. That's just the way it is.
I'm in Canada and can explain what appears to have happened. GM Canada issued a bunch of constraints on Thursday the 12th. It now looks like it was a giant ****-up. So on the ordering date that many had been waiting months for, some were turned away and lost their place in line because of these "constraints".
Then at 3:55 pm on the 19th, GM Canada issued a retraction, and all constraints were off. All this led to much confusion and a few very pi$$ed off customers.

Ahhh..that makes sense as people were being told that Torch Red and 1LT were on constraint...
I was on their list July 20th (#8) and the preliminary order went in August 30th. Went to 2000 yesterday. No deposit....bought quite a few Corvettes there...lol.
