It certainly does but I would still like to see different looking taillights. We shall see! I can't wait to see the Z06! I have a feeling it will be drop dead gorgeous!!
I am taking my C7 Z06 up I-95 to the Roar b4 the 24 this Saturday for open practice and the garages are open so should be fun to see the new C8R...and the new 911 RSR, Porsche handed the vettes their head on a platter last season. Looking forward to see how the new C8 holds up.
Not the best angle for comparison purposes, but the C8R oesn't have the "big butt" look of the street car, because of the "golf club" and targa top storage bin. Note how much taller the distance is between top of rear wheel well to top of rear deck on the street car.
The C8R looks so much better, and it's not just because of the wide-body. The rear deck is shorter, and more sculpted downward.
The big wing also aesthetically helps draw attention from the rear end...hoping the Z06 gets a similar two post wing.
I used to help my folks understand that there is a difference between "user friendly" and "user familiar." Most complaints are based on "user familiar." "User friendly: has another set of criteria and requires a set of skills and experience.
IMO, mosy complaints here are of the NOT USER FAMILIAR variety and will change with time, and that includes mine.
What challenge? The only challenge is the Porsche 911 RSR. Ford has quit. Most major OEMs are investing in Formula E right now. I love the C8R, but it's a marketing exercise at this point.
Still can't get over the fenders just stopping like that. Hopefully the Z06/GS/ZR1 vents in those spots are nice looking. Rest of the car is absolutely perfect!
