Default Event Code 2000

I have confirmed that my order is at 2000. I am thrilled to death. Some smaller dealerships are great. I ordered my C7 from this local dealership and things are moving forward with my C8 order. I expect to move to 3000 next week and receive my TPW. I am looking forward to it.

How small? Do you know the dealer's allocation? When did you order your C8? Where was your order in the dealer's total allocation?

Vettes&hlys. Five allocations for the first three months and estimated nineteen overall. I was #3 overall.

Congrats !!!! I also got picked up Thursday and went to 2000. I am also anticipating an April TPW ..... holding my breath to see what comes back for a TPW.

I also went with a small dealership in PA who reached out to me, last July wanting my C7 '17 GS as a trade in ( early) at MY price. The dealership was at MSRP with no funny stuff add on's.

He had 7 "Guaranteed" first round allocations and I was initially #5 and then moved up to #4 as someone cancelled. He was originally anticipating 29 total allocations for the 2020 model year.

The dealer had only 1 picked up in September, then 2 picked up in December, and 2 this week ( Jan 16 ). Total so far is 5 of the 7 . I would have thought that since this is the 3 consensus, that the remaining balance of the first round 7 guaranteed would have picked up. Well, at least my order is now picked up, like you !!!!

There will not be a QC hold on April production. QC hold is only on initial production and once it is released that's it - no more. The first decision point on ending the QC hold is supposedly Feb 13. Even if it continues past Feb 13, it will not last until April.

Delivery is another matter. There have been some rumors that all C8s will ship by truck, but there has been no legitimate confirmation of this. If they don't all go by truck, shipping times will vary greatly for those roughly 1000 miles or more from Bowling Green. Those will go by a combination of truck and rail with the rail adding weeks to the delivery.

I too went to 2000. It's been a long wait and now there's a light at the end of the tunnel!

I am also very happy with my "small" dealer. They received an original allocation of 20 for the year and 6 for the first quarter of production. I am number 3 behind two internal orders (owner and GM) which they provided in writing. They agreed to list, and, kept their word on everything up to this point. This is my 6th Corvette and so far the best dealer experience. I could have gone with two top 100 dealers further away but decided to give these guys a chance. Funny thing is that on first order date (I think Aug 15) I had to teach them how to order and what the order codes meant. I went 2000 last week and am told by the Concierge I should go 3000 by early next week. Fingers crossed. Assuming everything goes as expected I will post the dealer info on a follow up (they have long since sold out their allocation).

I've heard they are extending the first wave of allocations into February. I'm not sure but it seems to make sense. I think my dealer has only had 3 of 5 first wave orders accepted.
